| Lieutenant Choi was a DI in 1989, and since then he has moved up the ranks to manage all of the Recruit Training for the LASD, which includes overseeing three Academy locations, supervising 6 Staff Sergeants, 37 Staff Instructors and 6 Professional Staff. The Academy can have six separate classes running simultaneously, which means there can be over 600 recruits in session at a time. Additionally he ensures that the day-to-day operations of the Academy curriculum are on schedule, and he deals with the separations and recruit problems that may arise. Outside of the Academy he is an avid Dodger's fan as well as an adventurous traveler, picking one new unique location every year to visit. |
